iE3 It was a Good Thing
iE3 was formed in 1995, during the very early days of the web, as a collaborative consultancy that was actively marketed and resourced by contract ICT professionals based in Auckland, New Zealand. iE3 flourished for a decade as an excellent collaborative adventure that added value to many people and organisations; both iE3 members and iE3 customers alike. However, with the positive and pervasive evolution of the web landscape, iE3 members' increasing focus on their own businesses, and the general acceptance of contracting as a sound approach to service delivery, the time for iE3 had come and gone by 2008. Recognising these trends and the associated challenging economics, the iE3 shareholders acknowledged that iE3 had been a Good Thing and that it was time to move on. Consequently, iE3 was formally wound up and xiE3ers now collaborate directly with each other on a project by project basis.
